John LuttrellJohn Luttrell is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. His original compositions range from progressive rock to ambient electronic soundtracks and solo piano. John's start in rock music was playing guitar and keyboard with the group Chillum from 1974-1975 in London, England. |

| In the 1980's, he played
guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based progressive rock trio Helios with fellow
rockers Dave Veirs and Tony Betino. In 1989, Luttrell released the album Lost In My Dreams. This album also marked the beginning of Ottersong Records. In the 1990's John performed at venues in Southern California and composed material for new projects. In 2000, his latest release, Underwater Flying Lessons on Ottersong Records, features ambient new age compositions for piano, synthesizer, and guitar. John is currently working on releases by Mezzo Planet, an ambient ensemble, as well as The Balance, a progressive rock project, both featuring Luttrell and other artists, scheduled for release in late 2000. John Luttrell was born in 1957 in Anaco, Venezuela. Growing up he lived in Libya, Nigeria, Switzerland, England, and the US. With no formal music education, John brings his multi-cultural background into his music through group performance, collaboration, and individual study. John is the founder of Ottersong Records and its parent multimedia production company Basis Media Communication. His musical influences include Yes, Genesis, ELP, King Crimson, and Pink Floyd, as well as Tangerine Dream, Mike Oldfield, Brian Eno, and Vangelis. For more information, please contact: Ottersong
