 | Ed's newest addition is this 1998 Manuel Contreras II classical
guitar. This is a magnificent concert level instrument with intricate, matching,
hand-inlaid marquetry on the bridge as well as the rosette. This instrument is entirely
handmade right in the Contreras shop in Madrid. It features a solid spruce top and solid
Indian Rosewood sides and back. The edges and center stripe have gorgeous burled rosewood
purfling. The guitar has angelic tone and unending sustain. Ed finds it to be a pleasure
to play. |

 | This is Ed's 1975 Martin D-18L, left-handed steel string acoustic.
He bought this guitar new and it has been one of his favorites since he got it. Over the
years, the sound has gone from beautiful to amazing... and it gets better every day. |

 |
 | Another guitar that Ed loves is his 1974 Gibson Twentieth
Anniversary Les Paul Custom. Another left-handed guitar, Ed bought this one new also, and
again, the sound has mellowed over the years. |
|
 |
 | Ed also has a 1974 Fender Stratocaster with a maple neck and a
unique teardrop body.

 | Ed's last guitar is a recent discovery... sort of. It's a rare
vintage 1962 Gibson Melody Maker. This guitar looks almost identical to the beautiful 1959
Les Paul, except it has a double cutaway rather than a single sutaway and a single coil
pickup instead of a humbucker. Ed had the guitar stored in his closet for the last 20
years, and only recently decided to restore it to playing condition. |
