Narration: Iliana rejoiced in the freedom of the Powers and was filled with gladness for the wonders they made. For age after age, many new things came into being. But after a time, the Powers became weary and said to her: "Great Mother, is this all there is to be?" And Iliana sang to them saying: "No my beloved, greater gifts will yet be yours." She told them of the wonders that were yet to be, and of the Earth and the People. And they were filled with great anticipation. But on a time, they once again fell into loneliness and despair, seeing no evidence of these gifts. They beseeched their Mother once again, but she answered them not. Slowly, they began to understand that it was they who must create the Third World, the World of Making. |

| Lyrics: And when I came, I thought youd be here And Ill stand beside you And the valleys will ring Iliana, Iliana Hansumeku |

Towers of light, fall into the night And darken my world, my Earth, my Sky For have I been a fool, and broken all the rules? I know I must keep trying Now the stars, the wind and the sea Have all come to be in the deeps of time And always we must stay, forever to the Way And never stop for crying |
Descant: And as I see the dream In the fields and streams I will know your mind And I know Ill find you And as I live the dream You made in everything I will know your mind And I know Ill find love |
Notes: As this song begins, the universe is growing and changing, but it is still very primitive. Planets really cannot form around the first generation stars because the only element present in any quantity is hydrogen. But those first generation stars slowly start to work their magic and create the heavier elements needed for planets, birds, nebulae, and things we are familiar with in our universe. This process was painstakingly slow and probably took several billion years. First generation stars must run their course and die out, spewing forth newly created heavy elements into the Cosmos. Hence the loneliness of the Powers. But this is a process that was inevitable. Ganshuu, being analogous to the force of gravity, is responsible for the motion of the stars and planets. Sanshuu and Watasu, being the nuclear forces, are responsible for building atoms and the cohesion of matter. This makes stars and galaxies possible and ultimately planets. This song also alludes to chaos created by Tsaina. Perhaps a comet or meteorite of substantial size striking the Earth represents this chaos. This type of thing happens over and over again and has a great hand in formation and character of the Earth. |
