Narration: For a time there was no World, and Hansumeku, the Great Spirit, was alone and was sad. Because of this, she focused all of her desires on a single point in space and time and conceived the First World, the World of Light. Soon after, came the Four Powers, who are Ganshuu the Builder, his sister Evatna the Swift, their brother Sanshuu the Strong, and their little sister Watasu the Weaver. Hansumeku went to them and sang to them that they might know her love. And they called her Iliana, the Mother of Light. |

Notes: We start the story with "For a time there was no World" to be representative of the Oscillating Universe theory which states that there are a finite number of galaxies in the Universe and their mass is enough to cause a Big Crunch at the end of time. This is also a very Brahman concept dealing with Krishna the Creator and Shiva the Destroyer. Our story begins at the beginning of one of these cycles. Hansumeku is the Comanche name for Great Spirit. Iliana, the name given her by the Four Powers is a whimsical name that sounds like it is filled with light. Iliana, the one who is alone, creates the Universe from her thoughts and desires allegorically the Big Bang. The Navajo have a concept of Four Worlds three of them coming before the current one. So the primordial energy bubble formed by the Big Bang, is the First World. This First World, or World of Light, gives rise to the four forces of nature, gravitation, electromagnetism, the strong nuclear force, and the weak nuclear force. These forces of nature correspond directly to the names and functions of the Four Powers. And according to quantum mechanics, there was a brief time span called Plank Time after the Big Bang that lasted approximately 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 seconds when the current laws and forces of nature did not yet exist. |
